Welcome to Intentional ("we," "our," or "us"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application (the "App"). By using Intentional, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

2.1 Information You Provide

Onboarding Responses: During setup, we collect information about your app usage habits, triggers, neglected life areas, and goals so the AI judge can provide relevant feedback.
Negotiation Messages: Text and voice messages you send to the AI judge during negotiation sessions.
Account Information: If you create an account, we collect your name and Apple ID or email for authentication and subscription management.
Block Configurations: The app blocking schedules, difficulty settings, and personas you configure.

2.2 Automatically Collected Information

Usage Data: Information about negotiation outcomes (approved/denied), focus scores, streaks, and daily blocking activity.
Device Information: Device type, OS version, and app version for support and compatibility purposes.
Screen Time Data: We use Apple's Screen Time / Family Controls framework to enforce blocks at the system level. This data stays on your device and is not transmitted to our servers.
Purchase Information: Subscription and in-app purchase records processed through Apple's App Store and Superwall.

We use the information we collect to:

Operate the AI judge and deliver personalized negotiation experiences
Enforce app blocks through Apple's Screen Time framework
Calculate your focus score, streaks, and usage insights
Manage your account, subscriptions, and emergency passes
Improve our AI models and service quality
Communicate with you about your account or respond to inquiries
Detect and prevent fraud or abuse

4. AI Negotiation & Conversation Data

When you argue your case to the AI judge, your messages are processed by our AI systems:

Transmitted securely using encryption (HTTPS/TLS)
Processed by third-party AI providers solely to generate judge responses
Not used to train AI models without explicit consent
Not shared with advertisers or sold to third parties
Stored to maintain your argument history and improve context for future sessions

5. Screen Time & Device Activity

Intentional uses Apple's Family Controls and Screen Time framework (DeviceActivity) to enforce app blocks at the system level. This integration:

Requires the com.apple.developer.family-controls entitlement
Operates locally on your device — app usage data is not sent to our servers
Only triggers when you attempt to open a blocked app
Does not monitor browsing history, messages, or other private activity

6. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to operate the App:

Supabase: Secure database and authentication services
Superwall: Paywall presentation and subscription management
AI Providers (OpenAI): For AI judge responses (data processed per their privacy policies)
Apple App Store: For payment processing and subscription management

These services have their own privacy policies, and we encourage you to review them.

7. Data Retention

We retain your information for as long as necessary to provide our services:

Account Data: Retained while your account is active
Argument History: Retained to power your focus score, insights, and judge context
Purchase Records: Retained as required for financial and legal compliance

You may request deletion of your data at any time by contacting us or using the "Delete Account" option in the Settings tab.

8. Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational security measures to protect your personal information, including:

Encryption of data in transit (HTTPS/TLS)
Encrypted local storage (MMKV) for sensitive on-device data
Secure cloud infrastructure via Supabase
Access controls and authentication

No method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Correction: Request correction of inaccurate data
Deletion: Request deletion of your data (also available in-app via Settings)
Portability: Request your data in a portable format
